FAQsQuestion: Is there anything other than feed corn in the HUGGLE? Answer: We are happy to say that there is nothing more than natural, ultra-clean feed corn in our microwavable HUGGLE products. We stick with feed corn because it doesn't develop mildew or allergens, nor does it decay like many of our competitor's products. Question: Is the HUGGLE scented? Answer: HUGGLE products do have a faint scent of popcorn after heating, but no other scents - natural or artificial - are added. Question: Will the feed corn in the HUGGLE pop? Answer: HUGGLE products are made with an ultra-clean feed corn. The corn cracks naturally as it is removed from the cob, so it will not build up the pressure that makes popcorn pop. This small crack allows the moisture to escape from the feed corn kernel as it heats, which provides the moisture that makes our HUGGLE so effective for pain relief. Question: How long should I heat my HUGGLE? Answer: Heating times will vary, depending upon the microwave. We recommend you start with a minimum time of one minute and increase by 30-seconds until it reaches the desired temperature. Spread the feed corn out as evenly as possible to ensure most efficient heating of your HUGGLE. Question: My HUGGLE has a lot of moisture on the outer cover after I heat it. Is this common? Answer: You'll find that the natural feed corn filling in the HUGGLE releases moisture that may leave clothing or other fabrics damp. This will dissipate slightly over time; however, the moisture is one of the benefits of the HUGGLE. Moist heat penetrates more deeply into muscles and tissue to relieve your pain and it moisturizes the skin in the process. The moisture in the corn also helps to ensure that repeated heating won't cause a fire hazard. If you find that your HUGGLE is too moist, we recommend that you reduce the heating time. We also suggest that you use care when applying your new HUGGLE over delicate fabrics. Over time, the moisture will be less noticeable. Question: What if I don't have a microwave to heat my HUGGLE? Answer: While the microwave is the most efficient way to heat your HUGGLE, you will also be able to enjoy the benefits of the warm, soothing feed corn heating pad by heating it in a tightly covered pan - ideally a dutch oven - in a 300 degree F oven for 10 minutes or until desired temperature is reached. After the first 10 minutes, we suggest checking the temperature every two to three minutes to ensure that your HUGGLE doesn't get too hot. Another option is to heat your HUGGLE in a cooling oven after you've used it for cooking! Again, use a tightly sealed pan and check it frequently to ensure the right temperature. This is a great way to capture the warmth without using additional electricity. Question: Can I wash my HUGGLE? Answer: You can wash the removable outer cover of your HUGGLE. Simply remove the cover from the inner liner and wash as directed on the label. You'll find it most convenient to replace the cover after washing by turning it inside out, grasping the feed corn-filled liner with your hand inside the cover, and folding it over the liner, turning it right-side out again. Do not wash the feed corn-filled liner. Question: Where can I find HUGGLE products?
